What a difference a week makes. Last week we had more snow followed by days of freezing temperature, but today it was almost springlike. Sophie’s schedule has changed so she is in school on Monday & Wednesday mornings. This gives me some time alone with Lillie and lets Becky have more time with both girls.

Lillie refuses to drink out of a bottle but finds solid food an OK way to stretch the length of time she can go without nursing. The drive out find mom for a good lunch is a welcome part of her day.

By the time we picked up Sophie, the sun felt warm. We walked to Prince Pucklers Ice Cream and sat outside enjoying the springlike day.

We stopped at the park to play for a while and were delighted to find that Lillie is big enough to enjoy the swings. Sophie was a good big sister, pushing Lillie very gently, but after a few minutes she wished I would just leave Lillie in the swing and play on the climbing structure with her. Sophie liked it better when I came on days her mom was at home and we could leave Lillie with Becky and go to the park without a little sister to distract me.  I didn’t catch the smile, but Lillie really was having a good time.
